Harvesting (and weeding) continues through September. Volunteers are welcome to stop by Fr. Francis’ garden behind the Monastery on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (1400 Quincy St. NE, Washington, DC 20017)
We can use your help! You will help us in our commitment to address hunger in our city. Food pickups are planned this month for city parishes, including St. Teresa of Avila, St. Anthony of Padua and St. Luke plus nonprofits such as Martha’s Table and SOME.
September is your last chance for a guided garden tour until next April! Join volunteer guides from the Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild for a one-hour walk through the upper gardens, lower gardens – and a sneak peak behind the monastery. Saturdays, 11 a.m. and 12 noon. Meet in front of the visitor center.
