The first-ever Garden Guild soap making workshop was a success. Despite dire weather predictions, 18 people participated – both Garden Guild and community members.
The workshop included a presentation on the history of soap making, original soap recipes from the Library of Congress (circa late 19th century) and a soap making demo.
Thanks to Mark Brzozowski (soap team lead) and Joe Bozik for a great job. Plans are in the works for follow-up workshops with hands-on soap making.
