Thanks to our Brookland neighbor, Casey Trees, for donating 13 trees to the Franciscan Monastery, and working with the Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild to plant those plus more trees and 20 shrubs near the hermitage (which USA Today Travel just included on a “quietest places in America” list) on June 10, 2015.

Joe Bozik and FMGG volunteers recently spent a Sunday evening introducing two new bee colonies into their new beehives behind the Franciscan Monastery. Thanks to Constance Roellig for the photos!
