The Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild will be hosting the Potomac Rose Society’s annual rose symposium at the Franciscan Monastery Saturday, May 3 from 9:00–3:00.
Come and learn how to grow beautiful roses at our one-day symposium. Experienced rose growers will guide you through the yearly cycle of rose-care and dispel a few myths along the way. Topics include: types of roses, recommended roses, where to buy, where and how to plant, fertilizing, pruning, watering, and seasonal care.
Registration for the symposium is only $45 and includes all lectures, handout materials, and a catered lunch.
Non-members will receive a complimentary membership in the Potomac Rose Society for the remainder of 2014, which includes a subscription to our award winning newsletter, The Capital Rose.
